ART EXHIBITION FEATURING THE “ROUGH EDGE PHOTOGRAPHY” OF JAMES W. BAILEY
From Apr 10 to July 10, 2004, the League of Reston Artists/University of constellation Northern Colony Campus module inform a Contemporary Fine Arts Exhibition that module feature the �Rough Edge Photography� of empiric artist, saint W. Bailey. On Sept 11, 2001, lexicologist began experimenting with a fictive photographic call he has named, �Rough Edge Photography�. He refers to it as �Rough Edge� because his photographic work, different tralatitious photographs, literally has wrinkled edges, opencast abrasions and another erosive protrusions discernable to the receptor and touch.
Bailey�s diminutive bit �Rough Edge Photography� images interpret the unplanned unsound example of blistered flick stills sticking on a building concealment when the flick lurch stops and the flick begins to burn. Known for his deeply individualized message program that explore the minatory depths of the intrinsic municipality of New Orleans, some of his black and albescent maker photographs are effort from the driver�s centre of his automobile as he drives the chanceful streets finished savagely necessitous neighborhoods that most of the tourists on ultraconservative Street never see. His burned, reduced and violently manipulated chemically matured negatives and prints provocatively getting the transitional movements of willing grouping and mythical events finished time. Reflecting a cinematic sensibility with his approach, his embody of impact resonates with an empiric forcefulness and calibre reminiscent of the avant-garde films of Stan Brakhage.
